In most cases, translations that are intended for use in court or by authorities require certification to confirm the accuracy and completeness of the translation. These are usually referred to as certified translations. This can only be provided by a translator who is recognized by the appropriate district court or authority.
Certification is typically required for marriage or birth certificates, diplomas and judgments. If such documents require legal recognition abroad, for most countries it is possible to apply for an apostille from the appropriate district court, or alternatively, to request legalization at the consulate of the country concerned.
I can provide certified translations for the following language combinations: Spanish>German and German>Spanish. I will gladly put you in contact with a certified translator in your vicinity for other languages. Please note that it is absolutely necessary to submit the original documents.
